With the reform of high school chemistry curriculum in China, in orderto meet the requirements of the new curriculum, presentation and content ofthe text questions in college entrance examination are also changing. Whilekeeping focus on basic knowledge, basic theory and skill of experiment, italso shows "new" and "flexible" features. Such kind of questions are calledInnovation Question. Innovation question in the exam is of great significanceto chemistry curriculum reform, it can measure the students’ability of solvingproblems with a breakthrough in habitual thinking procedure and thinkingorientation, at the same time test students’ learning ability, such asinformation processing ability, knowledge transferring ability, researchingability and reasoning ability. During the current and future, the questions incollege entrance examination is still the vane of high school chemistryteaching and learning. The proposition and connotation of InnovationQuestion deeply affect the high school chemistry classroom. It’s not hard tosee that Innovation Question has a great effect on the new curriculum reform.The design ideas of Innovation Question and the goal of new curriculumreform is the same. Having a conscientious summary, analysis and study ofchemistry questions in college entrance examination in recent years isconducive to the promotion of actively implementing the new curriculumideas and requirements. Based on a statistical analysis of Innovation Questionin recent five years’ college entrance examination, this paper puts forwardsome pedagogical implications on how to cultivate students’ innovation ability.This paper consists of four parts:(1) an introduction of the background, purpose, meaning, object, method and the theoretical basis of this study;(2) adefinition and classification to Innovation Question in the college entranceexamination;(3) an analysis of chemistry Innovation Question in the collegeentrance examination in China in recent five years;(4) on the basis of theanalysis of Innovation Question, putting forward some teaching implications.Research shows that whether it is open, exploratory Innovation Question, orapplication, information Innovation Question, it requires the students to useknowledge flexibly and think creatively to solve the problem. This requiresthe reform of the chemistry class in middle school, such as by changing theway of class management, teaching strategies, the form and content of task tochange their previous ways of learning, using knowledge and thinking, byusing the demonstration material in the university entrance exam to enlightenstudents’ thinking and effectively stimulate the students’ creativity in orderto meet the new curriculum to cultivate students’ innovation ability.
