Throughout the course of five thousand years of Chinese civilization and modernization for decades,the process of social development must contain the essential "creative destruction". Mass incidents have the greatest impact among these problems. China, today, is in a period of social transition inevitable accumulation of some contradictions, social pressure will lead to mass incidents when some contradictions accumulated to a certain extent. This is undoubtedly exacerbates the pains of China’s social structure adjustment and potential crisis, which requires the strengthening prevention and disposal of mass incidents. Scholars have focused more on the events itself, or from the perspective of the government to intervene, but there is little research from third-party social organizations. Therefore, this article focuses on the view of social work to the prevention and treatment of group events concern. In the view of the mass incidents is a wide range of issues. Among the study, I prefer more to incline the social work intervention on the prevention of mass incidents.Social work intervention mass incidents are not only in the background of social transition increasing, it is also in China’s social work development period, which provides an opportunity for the organic combination of the two. The traditional mass incidents prevention and disposal problems need new ways to adjust, the construction of a harmonious society also needs the innovation of social management mode, which makes social work functioning. At the same time, our social system for social work development create the conditions for this problem, the problem is also one of the social work field, the social work to their own professional advantage can fully play a role in this field. Therefore, social work should adhere to the prevention and response, rigid and flexible, comprehensive and special principles in the intervention mass incidents, adhering to the people-oriented, helping people to help themselves and the maintenance of social members rights concept, the use of case, group, community and social work administration way, take individual empowerment, improve the ability of mass incidents party; Construction of community support network, play a fundamental role in community in the prevention of mass incidents, improving the system, policy measures, reducing the mass incidents caused by hidden from the source, realizing the prevention of mass incidents.
