Since1950s, in the fierce market competition environment, the researches about competitiveintelligence have been development in strategic management of corporation, which offered greathelp for improving the core competence of it. On the other hand, the researches about competitiveintelligence of university are not as good as the one of corporation, which needs to be solved. Wewould do the some paper work about the competitive intelligence of university, using the tool ofvalue chain, which was defined by Michael E. Porter.The main contents are as follows. First of all, it’s about defining the competitive intelligenceand making a generalization of views in foreign countries and native country. Second, through valuechain analysis, we would explain university value chain’s structure and characteristics. Third, thecase about the Department of Law in Shanxi University of Finance and Economics has beenanalyzed by using the tool of value chain. The last, it’s important to make the suggestions aboutincreasing competitive actual strength. Based on value chain analysis, the solutions could be toreduce internal costs, to improve the ability of scientific research and to clear subject’s position,which would improve the core competitiveness of university. |
