The early childhood stage is the best human learning phase, but also to establish thebasis for the period of human development and education. Development of child PE is animportant means of promoting the children physical and function coordinated development,enhancing the early childhood physical fitness, developing their good habits, establishing alifelong sports consciousness, forming the correct sports values. Sports behavior is the truereflection of the sports development of young children.In this study the author investigation the children sports behavior in10kindergartensof Beijing with integrated methods such as observation, interviews, questionnaire surveyand mathematical statistics etc, in order to understand the overall performancecharacteristics and influencing factors of children sports behavior. Through analysis theauthor tries to put forward suggestions in order to provide a basis for improving the qualityof child PE.The research shows:1The overall performance characteristics of the children sportsbehavior, including the internal sports behavior and external sports behavior.2the internalsports behavior consist of sports cognition, sports interest and sports motivation. Themajority of children`s sports cognition just stay at the surface, but they have strong sportsinterest and can actively participate in sports activities. They do not understand what sportsmotivation is.3The external sports behavior including forms of children physical activitiesorganization, content, time and sports consumption in the kindergarten and home. Childrenphysical activities organizations in the kindergarten consist of morning exercise activities,physical education, outdoor activities and games. Outside kindergarten the organizationsinclude taking part in sports activities with familiar children and family activities.4Thecontent of kindergarten PE are gymnastics, athletics, ball games, martial arts. The sportscontent of outside kindergarten are walking, running, dancing and sports activities relate toexercise equipment.5The time of kindergarten PE is about1-2hours. They usually spendmore than1hours in sports activities.6Kindergarten in sports funds is morethan10,000RMB a year. Most of sports consumption in family is more than800RMB ayear.7Factors affecting the children sports behavior include contain sports needs, models,children education environment, teachers, parent’s recognition and support, childrenparticipate in community sports activities, children sports area and equipment, financialand propaganda factors.
