With the arrival of the post-olympic era,Beijing devotes greater effort to build sportsbrand competition with the purpose of promoting the figure of Beijing and making Beijingbecame the key city of world’s athletic. Beijing obtains from the sports brand competitionwhich will be the card of building the key city of world’s athletic.This paper bases on the research of the cycling events at home and abroad and thesituation of development about the brand competition of Beijing. The research methods ofthis paper include the following:1, Literature consultation;2, Experts interview;3, Logicalanalysis;4, Field observation. By analyzing the successful cases of International tophighway career cycling event Tour of France and the pros and cons of Tour of Beijing, theconclusions below have been generated.1、Compared with Tour of Beijing,Tour de France has a history over centuries. Tourde France has the seasoned professional team serve competition and diverse stages and thelength of stage is not only long but also essentially unchanged.At the same time,lot offields provide Competition environment for tour de France,such as sports environment,humanity, society, culture, etc.2、As the centre of politics,economy and culture,Beijing not only has Well-developedtourism industry, but also has convenient traffic. The successful2008Olympic Gamesshows the ability of organizing large-scale events of Beijing. Statistics indicate that Beijinghas a lot of advantages of “support of people” in holding the Tour of Beijing3、The characteristics of Tour of Beijing illustrate the brand value of competition;Tour of Beijing has a short history and its operation team relatively immature,but thesupport of State Physical Culture Administration,Beijing Municipal Government andBeijing Municipal Bureau of Sport provide the effective guarantee for creating the brandcompetition.4、The competition environment of Beijing is complex and the development of Tourof Beijing has some limitation. China lacks high-level team and cycling club.From the above conclusions, this paper proposes the strategies of building sportsbrand competition about Tour of Beijing.1、Reasonable time management and stage arrangement and train professionalcompetition organization personnel.2、Seize the good opportunities and utilize the advantage of competition in Beijingabout “support of people” to build brand competition.3、We should Give full play characteristics of the competition of Tour of Beijing,andthen increase the position of Tour of Beijing in the Competition environment of Beijing. 4、 Strengthen the investment of government and enhance the construction ofhigh-level team. Build native club of professional cycling and star athletes of cycling.
