In recent decades, with the variation of international situation and regionalinterests,the sino-Japanese relation has become sensitive and delicate. it willhave a significate impact on the development of asian regions and influencethe world situation. Japan has arisen from the failure of the war and hasbecome one of the largest economic entity among the world in less than50years with incredible growth. It is closely related to the policy of emphasis oneducation since the arisen, specifically focused on sports physical education. Itis believed that physical education and school sports activities have positivelymade great contributions to the prosperity of the nation of Japan.Beijing Yuetan is the only public High school in Beijing that teachesJapanese. it is symbolized with upholding an in-depth and long-termeducational exchanges and cooperation, mainly featured with the combinationof undertaking foreign affair activities and education. Especially thatundertaking these high standards of foreign affair activities have determinedthe significant political status of Beijing Yuetan high school. therefore, being aneducation institution with such a great significance, Beijing Yuetan high schoolcarries out great responsibilities to educate a brand new generation withextensive vision and eventually achieve the goal of being part of thecontribution to the development of the whole nation.This comparative study mainly analyses and discusses sports activitiesbetween two education institutions by applying expert interviews,questionnaire and mathematical statistics. it is designed to provide a clearunderstanding of current status of physicaleducation of both institutions, inorder to absorb from foreign advanced philosophies and experiences and toprovide a theoretical basis on managing characteristic sports activities aligningwith current national conditions and encouraging comprehensivedevelopments of the new generations.Main results are showing as the following:1. Sports activities of two education institutions are similarly stylized andformalized with PE program, extracurricular activities and sports competitions.2. In comparison with Beijing Japanese High School, the objectives ofsports and health program in Beijing Yuetan High School are classified into4sections, including6aspects of basic teaching contents. Teaching hours areallocated proportionately with specific requirements where as there is no particular requirements in regards to the contents of sports activities. Theobjectives of sports and health program in Beijing Japanese High School aredivided into2sections, including7aspects of basic teaching contents. There isno particular requirements in regards to allocation of teaching hours, whereascontents of sports activities are specifically organized.3. PE programs in Beijing Yuetan high school are independently managedwith qualified professionals. students are separated by gender to attendclasses and conduct unified learning. on the other hand, PE programs inBeijing Japanese high school are managed with non-specialized PE educators.class tutor has the obligations to attend PE class and to assist with necessarytasks. students attend class together and conduct optional learning.4. Students comparatively participant more forms of outdoor sportactivities in Beijing Yuetan high school, which emphasizes the uses of in-classtime and activity participations. on the other hand, Beijing Japanese highschool particularly focuses more on group activities. extracurricular activitiesare limited but emphasizes on qualities.5. Two schools have difference in the sports education system andPhilosophy.
