| After the reform on senior high school biology curriculum being carried out formany years, several issues receive more and more concerns from the teaching staff,such as how to change the current situation of teacher-dominating class and how tomake the teaching more effective, etc. Among the three compulsory courses of SeniorHigh School Biology issued by People’s Education Press, the second course with thename of Genetics and Evolution is the most difficult to understand. This article selectsthis course to do research on effective teaching.Based on the status-quo of biology course teaching in the school where I amworking, analysis is carried out to illustrate the significance of the study. Severalresearch methods have been taken, namely literature review, data analysis, studies ontheories and supporting documents of effective teaching. Based on these theorieswhile considering the characteristics of biology course in senior high school, thefollowing teaching strategies are concluded to be required, i.e., the strategy ofstimulating learning motivation, the strategy of making teaching objectives, thestrategy of attracting students’ attention, the strategy of strengthening memories, thestrategy of directing methods, the strategy of keeping knowledge in mind, the strategyof knowledge migration and the strategy of feedback control. In teaching practice,effective teaching objectives strategy is selected to study its influence to the teachingof Genetics and Evolution. By setting the experimental classes and control classes,using questionnaires and testing students’ academic achievement, the research provesthat the implementation of effective teaching objectives strategy can significantlyimprove students’ learning interests and their academic performance. |
