In accordance with the requirements of new curriculum concept,teaching activities should give full play to students' subjective initiative so that students can actively participate in learning activities and master knowledge while learning.At present,there are a lot of teaching content in senior high school,but teaching time is limited.teachers talk more,but students rely on teachers' teaching excessively,consolidate knowledge by rote and "title sea tactics" due to the lack of autonomous learning and the ability to summarize,analyze and apply knowledge actively.According to this reality,the author chose three knowledge points of genetics and evolution: "discovery of genetic factors","sex-linked inheritance" and "human genetic disease" from high school biology compulsory two modules to carry out teaching experiments,used class discussion mode to guide students' induction and review,explored effective teaching methods by comparison of teaching effectiveness statistically and applied it to teaching activities.Through consulting relevant literature,studying theoretical knowledge of teaching practice,applying literature research method,experimental research method and quantitative analysis method,the author used traditional teaching and class discussion to teach two classes of 2018 high grade three students from Fuyuan County First Senior High School in Yunnan Province.Through the pre-test,teaching experiment and post-test to test the learning efficiency of students,analysis of test average score,passing rate,problem-solving speed and accuracy,we found that the class of applying class discussion teaching are much better than the traditional teaching.The results of teaching experiments show that application of classroom discussion teaching mode plays a positive role in stimulating students' learning enthusiasm,cultivating students' autonomous learning ability,improving problem-solving efficiency and academic achievement,and helps teachers improve their professional quality to some extent.However,teachers should pay attention tothe validity of problem setting in design of class discussion,trust the students during the discussion fully,let them discover and discuss the problems by themselves and communicate with each other.If teachers have appropriate supervision,give proper guidance necessarily and carry out class discussion effectively,the effect of class discussion teaching will be significantly improved.
