Badminton has been an increasingly favored sport since theflourish of the extensive mass fitness programs, especially because the remarkableachievements by our badminton players in2008Beijing Olympic Games, it has madebadminton become really popular in our country, more and more people began tolearn to play badminton. With the deepening of colleges and universities PE reform,main campus sports activities are being interesting, effectiveness, and lifelong.Badminton is the most popular sports for its characters of flexible amount of exercise,simple requirement for venues and equipment and easy to carry out. Colleges anduniversities are now the significant bases to foster and promote the development ofbadminton. The undergraduates major in badminton shoulder the task of promotion ofbadminton sport, how to build a professional badminton education curriculum incolleges and universities physical undergraduate education and achieve the trainingobjectives of badminton courses has become an important research topic.As a major province in eastern China, Shandong is an important economicprovince with agricultural output ranks first in the country. It has a large populationand population density, a strong total economy but uneven distribution (the economyin middle and eastern Shandong was obviously stronger than that of the Southwestand northwester). The sports undertakings has made remarkable achievementsthrough the last10years, social sports, school sports, competitive sports and thesports industry have made considerable progress. Shandong has been one of thestrongest provinces in China. Through the research of professional badminton of PE in colleges anduniversities in Shandong province, both the badminton curse setting, faculty, facilitiesand the pervasiveness as well as the technical level are lower than the nationalaverage level. In order to promote the comprehensive, coordinated, sustainabledevelopment of badminton sport in colleges and universities in Shandong Province,the paper aims to make a research and analysis of the PE professional badmintoncourse of the16colleges and universities in Shandong Province, with a backgroundof the current Sports in Shandong Province and a guidance of badminton coursessetting and methods of the literature material law, questionnaire, interview,mathematical statistics, comparative analysis and others, aimed at a comprehensiveunderstanding of the implementation of college badminton course and a furtherclarification of the teaching objectives of physical education professional badmintoncourse, standardized of the teaching content, improvement of the teaching methodsand exploration of how to improve the ability of badminton professional students. Bythe corresponding conclusions through the research to study the adverse factors in thedevelopment of the status quo and propose appropriate measures to provide areference for the healthy and orderly development of Badminton teaching inShandong Province.This paper focuses on the training objectives of professional badminton of PE inShandong Province, teaching content, teaching methods, the use of teaching materials,the make-up of teachers, teaching facilities and the venue, the basic situation of thestudents and the employment situation, finds the obstacles which prevent thepopularization and development of university badminton sport, puts forward therationality and feasibility recommendations, provides a useful reference for thesetting of professional badminton of PE in ordinary Colleges and universities inShandong Province and a theoretical basis for Colleges and universities to traincomposite professional badminton talents who suitable for the colleges anduniversities and social development, aims to make a modest contribution to thepopularization and development of badminton movement, so as to foster morequalified badminton talents to serve the community.
