Enlightenment Of NBA Industrial Mode Of Operation On The Industrial Development Of Martial Arts

With the increasing development of national economy, sports industry, as anemerging tertiary, accounts for a larger growing proportion in GDP. In manydeveloped European and American countries, the emerging sports industry hasgradually replaced traditional industry and become one of the main pillar industriesof national economy. In today’s world, sports industry is having an increasinglyclose relation to capital market, with the development trend of globalization, andtherefore the economic and social benefits that its rapid development brings shouldnot be overlooked. In2010, the income China’s sports industry brings is251.05billion yuan, accounting for1.32percent of GDP. The martial arts industry, as apart of sports industry, has richly-endowed development conditions in China. Richresources of talents, various schools and broad consumption market all provideessential basic conditions for the development of martial art industry; strongsupport from the government and the restless trying in the folk offer the opportunityto accumulate experience for the development of martial arts industry; theeconomic and social value of martial arts itself makes great potential for thedevelopment of martial arts industry. However, because of starting late, manyproblems existing in the development process of China’s martial arts industry forma sharp contrast with good industrial development conditions. At present, a numberof problems occur in China’s martial arts industry, such as incomplete industrialstructure, improper managerial method and imperfect operation mechanism.Compared with world first-class sports industry, the economic benefits and thesocial benefits that martial arts industry brings present a strong contrast, which doesnot match to China’s long history of martial arts and numerous groups of martialarts.This thesis utilizes literature method, expert interviewing method, induction method, and field survey method to conduct a comparative study between NBAindustrial mode and China’s industrial development of martial arts. Compared withmartial arts industry, NBA industry, although it has its distinctions on projects anddevelopment environment, as one of the fine sports industry in the world, there arelots of common and referable aspects from which Chinese are in search of industrialdevelopment. Through referring to excellent world sports industry, we can have ourown targeted objectives of martial arts industry, and make reasonable developmentroutes of martial arts industry combining with the current state of our country.Hopefully that this study can provide valuable reference for the transformationaldevelopment of China’s martial arts industry so as to promote the development ofChina’s martial arts industry.Research shows that the enlightenment of NBA industrial mode of operation onthe development of martial arts industry includes mainly:(1) The organization form of NBA Industry Club Union is worthy of reference.This form can combine many single clubs together to form a whole so that in themanagement of the internal and external affairs, efficiency will be improved andoverall development can be achieved. Inside, NBA Union coordinates the balanceddevelopment among all clubs and reduces the operation risk of each club; outside,monopoly is formed in order to obtain more profits.(2) The formation of complete industrial structure will create great industrialchain of martial arts. Complete industrial structure is necessary for the growing ofany industry. In the NBA industrial chain, upstream exchanges value withdownstream, and downstream feedbacks information to the upstream while upstreamtransmits products in need to the downstream.(3) Trying to create one’s own brand. Brand brings the owner intangible assets,and the value of a good brand is far more than the value of the product itself, whichis the reason why more and more people attach great importance to brand.(4) To create splendid sport events as the core of martial arts industry. Splendidsport events are the leading strength for the development of sports industry, whichshould be the core in the whole industry.
