Research On College And University Archive Management Under Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education Model

As a new thing in Chinese higher education circles, Chinese-foreign cooperativeschools have cultivated large amount of talents with their unique school-running patternand are gradually growing to an important part of Chinese higher education at a promptspeed. Chinese-foreign cooperative schools have demonstrated their distinct glamourduring their development,as well as the archives generated meanwhile. However,no relatedregulations have been issued on the management of these archives and lots of problems areexisted in practice. Therefore I would like to have an exploration on the management ofcollege and university archive under Chinese-foreign cooperative education model basedon my intern experience in Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University. This article will introducethe current management situation and summarize problems existed after analysis and comeup with reasonable and operable solutions. Throw a sprat, hope more and more scholarswill do research in management of college and university archive under Chinese-foreigncooperative education model.This paper consists of five parts. Part one is Introduction,which mainly introduces thebackground and importance for the topic selection, the methods, content of the research,the innovation as well as the review of relevant1iterature. As a new topic,there is onlylimited amount of article available,therefore I studied archive management in the privateschools which share many common points in school management and organization systemfor reference.Part two analyzes the definition, specialty and importance of archive managementunder Sino-foreign cooperative education model.Part three take XJTLU as an example as well as4other Chinese-foreign cooperativecolleges introduces the current status of archive management, analyzes the existed management under Chinese-foreign cooperative management.Part four discusses the strategy of how to enhance the archive management underChinese-foreign cooperative model. Based on good experience of archive management ofother universities both at home and abroad,I put forward several suggestions to improvethe archive management.Part five is the conclusion section. This part draws a conclusion of this article andlooks into the distance of future development of archive management underChinese-foreign cooperative model.
