Female Rule In June-gathering,the Case Of Siheqiben Village

Female role in June-gathering, including what behaviors are accepted or forbidden, is the criterion about female’s action during the the process of June-gathering rituals. And the part of behaviors’forbidden becomes female’s taboo in June-gathering. Why and how were those rules created? Sexism is not the only answer. There must be some other causes. So the author uses the case of Siheqiben village to try to explain ideas about it.There are six chapters in this thesis, the openning chapter gives a discussion of the research origin, significance, target, research technique and so on. The second chapter is an attempt to explain the process of June-gathering of Siheqiben village on the basis of the survey reports between2008to2012objectively, which is a good foreshadowing for the following analysis。 It will bring up the behaviors of " female role" of the June-gathering of Siheqiben village in the third chapter, and in the sometime the behaviors taboo will be introduced in detail. The fourth chapter will expound the various behaviors in third chapter from the angle of ideology, taboo and influence of religion. According to the history and observation of the different families in Siheqiben village, the fifth chapter will analyze the Tibetan female family status in their rituals and daily life, which will also analyze the female behavior in the June-gathering. The sixth chapter is a summary of the thesis, which also have further discussion and assumption for the change in the future.
