The Research About College Students’ Cutural Consciousness

Culture is the blood of a nation, the spiritual home of people and the strongest power for development and prosperity. Cultural consciousness is the awareness of an ethnic group, a nation and a party. It is also the spiritual power which is the basis and premier condition of making the culture prospered. Whether as a result, highly cultural consciousness, not only relates to the revitalization and prosperity of culture itself, but also determines the fate of a nation and a political party. Today, new situation and new tasks need us to further strengthen the cultural consciousness, especially for the contemporary college students who are the successor of the traditional culture and who will make our culture develop. Under the background of cultural diversity, college students should be more cultural consciousness and actively promote cultural development so that make our country can achieve a high level of cultural identity, cultural confidence and improvement.In recent years, college students’ cultural consciousness in the theory of social development is a new theory category. Studying college students’ cultural consciousness to improve college students’ cultural identity and cultural self-confidence and promote construction of socialist culture power is of great theoretical significance and practical significance. The article is based on the basic connotation and status of college students’ cultural consciousness and makes a deep analysis of strategies about how to improve the college students’ cultural consciousness.There are four parts, including:Fist part is about the connotation, characteristics and basic requirements of culture, cultural consciousness and college students’ cultural consciousness. This part firstly defines the meaning of culture and cultural consciousness and summarizes the meaning and the basic requirements of college students’ cultural consciousness on the basis of the interpretation of the culture. The second part is about the importance of college students’ cultural consciousness. According to the requirements of the era and the situation of our country, this part analyzes the necessity of improving college students’ cultural consciousness. It is not only the needs of the development of cultural modernization, but also the needs of promoting the social development in our country.The third part is about the status of college students’ cultural consciousness. This part mainly analyzes the problems existing in the college students’ culture from the cultural identity, cultural comparison and cultural reflection as well as cultural innovation according to the basic requirements of college students’ cultural consciousness.The fourth part is about how to improve the college students’ cultural consciousness. This part is the foothold of this paper and puts forward the corresponding strategy by analyzing the problems existing in the college students’ cultural consciousness. This dissertation takes the feasible approaches to achieve college students’ cultural consciousness and lay firm foundation of building a powerful country.
