Chinese And Foreign Outstanding Tennis Women's Singles Player Clay Court Game Tactics Analysis And Countermeasure Research

The elite women tennis players in our country, who participate on the clay court, had once obtained remarkable achievement. However, since then they can achieve the desired results no longer. Through the comparative analysis between Chinese players (Li Na, Zheng Jie,Peng Shuai) and the outstanding foreign women tennis players (Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Wo Zinie Aceh), the present paper attempts to identify specific differences between players in our country and the outstanding foreign players. The comparison is focusing on serve, backhand, net technology, winning points, unforced mistakes on the clay court game. Six players on eighteen clay court game videos are being collected and used in this paper. Through the use of systematically collection and Mathematical Statistics, the technical and tactical strategies of the Chinese and foreign elite female tennis player on the clay courts have been analyzed, the present paper gets the following conclusions:1. The first serve success rate of Chinese elite female tennis players on the clay court game is slightly lower than the foreign players’. However, the second serve success rate of Chinese elite female tennis players is higher than the foreign players’. Thus we can see, the stability of Chinese elite female tennis players to sever on the clay court is higher than the foreign players’.2. Apparently, the usage rate of forehand hitting skills by Chinese elite female tennis players on the clay court is significantly lower than the foreign players’. The forehand initiative scoring rate is dramatically lower than the foreign players’, which means Chinese women players are not positively aware of the forehand hit on the clay court.3. The backhand usage rate by Chinese elite female tennis players on clay court is higher than the foreign elite female tennis players. What’s more, the backhand scoring rate is higher than the foreign players’, which means, comparing with the the foreign elite female tennis players, players in our country is superior at the backhand skill.4. The high backhand usage by elite female tennis players in our country demonstrates that the strategies used by players in our country on clay courts focus on defense, meanwhile reflects that the Chinese players’weakness on pace and movement, which discourage them from fast moving and using forehand hit. Therefore, they have to use forehand attack to hide and make up their weakness. 5. In the clay court game, net score rate of both the Chinese and foreign elite female tennis players is relatively low, from which we can see the net technology is not a major score technology on clay court. However, through the net scoring rate and success rate, it can be seen that the elite women tennis players are not as accurate as foreign elite female tennis players on the grasp of the net opportunity on the clay court. Moreover, Chinese players are less offensive on the net technology than foreign players.6. In the clay court game, the Chinese elite female tennis players’unforced errors are higher than foreign elite female tennis players’. Meanwhile, the winning points are also lower than the level of foreign players’, which means that in the use of opportunity ball, the stability of Chinese players are lower than the foreign players in the clay court.
