Education value is a class of relation between the education phenomenon as the object and people’s needs as social practice of the education subject. Man’s education activities are always under the guidance of certain values. The language education value is the core of the language education thoughts. Chinese is also based on language, and Chinese education is a being of language education.At present, most studies of the language education value focus from the macroscopic angle, and emphatically discuss from the viewpoint of linguistic tool theory. Taking into account a fact that language education is not merely related to language in aspects of tool, means or purpose, the author studies the potential value of language education mainly from the ontology of language. Language is a fundamental way for individuals accessing the world, and individuals are engaged into the world through learning a language. Language is the foundation of human life growth, every step of which is bonded with it. The elementary and secondary school stages are key ones for individual growth. Chinese language education plays an important role in their selfhood shaping, mental development and personality formation, and exerts a far-reaching effect on the pupils’mind and body development. On the basis of predecessors’research results, this paper further explores the language of the noumenon value and clarifies the profound meaning for the noumenal value of language education, and analyzes the indispensable values of Chinese education in the students’ self-construction and socialization, and so forth. In the last, the author proposes some countermeasures and suggestions to strengthen Chinese education noumenon value in primary and middle schools.This thesis consists of the following parts:after the introductory chapter, the first part on the language and language teachers, education development current status were summarized. The second part is intended for the noumenon value and tool significance of Chinese education via an ontology methodology. Next chapter presents the contemporary lack and harm of the noumenal education value and dissects the reasons of the loss. Certain countermeasures and suggestions is put forward to improve Chinese noumenon education for primary and middle students.
