The core function of autonomous enrollment is that, the colleges and universities can choose diverse talents according to school-running characteristics and educational objectives, and also it’s the important measure of expanding the autonomy of higher education and deepening the reform of the college enrollment system. The goal of talents selection is one of the important goals of autonomous enrollment of colleges and universities, the purpose of this study is to discuss whether this goal can be achieved by investigating characteristics of the students enrolled through autonomous enrollment, the comparison between the students enrolled through autonomous enrollment and students enrolled through college entrance examination and its effect to middle school teaching.Based on the analysis of the concept, theory, history of autonomous enrollment and as well as the policies of national pilot college’s autonomous enrollment, also according to "National medium and long-term education reform and development plan outline (2010-2020)" and the dimensions of the pilot college’s autonomous enrolment scheme in the independent recruitment of talents selection, to investigate the status of goal implementation of talents selection for autonomous enrollment of colleges and universities through the questionnaire survey, comparing the characteristics of the students enrolled through autonomous enrollment and the difference of students enrolled through college entrance examination. Based on the investigation and analysis of autonomous enrolment affect to middle school students’ learning attitude and behavior.I have self-compiled a questionnaire named "The Questionnaire Survey of College Students’ Study and Activity", surveyed100students enrolled through autonomous enrollment (hereinafter referred to as Student A) and105students enrolled through college entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as Student B) then compared and interview them based on academic performance, practical ability, innovation ability, highlight specialty, major satisfaction and school satisfaction; and I have self-compiled a second questionnaire named "The Questionnaire Survey of Middle School Students’ Study and Activity", surveyed300middle school students based on the their understanding of autonomous enrollment of colleges and universities, willingness to participate in autonomous enrollment, the preparation for autonomous enrollment, I got the following research results:(1) Student A is more satisfactory than Student B on the understanding of autonomous enrollment of colleges and universities, major satisfaction and school satisfaction.(2) The number of Student A in winning the honor of "Good Students", gaining of university scholarships and College entrance examination scores is more significantly than Student B, but there is no difference between those two groups in the interest of science.(3) Student A is significantly better than Student B in the following areas:participate in work-study, internship, volunteer activities, the frequency of public service activities; the number of university received the Social Work Award and the number of being an officer during the class, the number of student leaders received honorary awards, but in terms of voluntary labor, those two groups do not have significant difference.(4) There are significant differences between Student A and Student B in the following areas: innovation capability of self-assessment, the number of times of participating in Olympic competition in high school, received awards for innovation in high school.(5) There are significant differences between Student A and Student B in the following areas: the number of participating in the competition type in high school, the number of gaining liberal arts awards, expertise kinds, and the former is better than the latter. But there is no difference between those two groups in the number of good at subjects.(6) High school students know little about autonomous enrollment of colleges and universities, and most of high school students want to be enrolled by autonomous enrollment, the number of students in preparing for autonomous enrollment and not prepare for autonomous enrollment is significant difference. The talents selected by autonomous enrolment have the following characteristics:academic excellence, practical ability, innovation ability, outstanding expertise. But in the subsequent teaching, colleges and universities have not design the corresponding training plan for the students, talent selection is ultimately to personnel training, colleges and universities should make full use of autonomous enrolment. Autonomous enrollment is not great effect to high school students teaching at present, increase publicity, strengthen exchanges and interaction with middle school is one of the effective ways to promote autonomous enrolment of middle school quality education.
