Physical teaching principles must be followed guidelines or standardsin the process of physical teaching. With the development of education andprogress of society, people realize that the physical teaching principles isguiding principles and basic requirements of physical teaching, with theguidance of the sports teaching. In the sports teaching process. teachingprinciples of physical education is not only the starting point, but also is thecentral regulation in the process of physical teaching. To a certain extent, it iscrucial to the specific arrangement of teaching contents, teaching methods andteaching organization form, so a correct understanding and implementing ofphysical teaching principles, can make the sports teachers to further grasp andapply the objective laws in the process of physical education teaching. Theselection and arrangement of teaching contents correctly make good use ofteaching methods to improve teaching effect. Those are the importantmeaning to accelerate the reform of PE teaching process and complete thetask of physical education. As everyone knows, different sports teaching hasits own characteristics and laws. Track and field teaching should be based onproject characteristics and properties. Athletics teaching should according tothe project, characteristics, properties and its teaching rules and requirementsof scientific construction principle of physical education in track and field teaching principles carry out to cultivate the students comprehensivesystematically master the basic theory of athletics, basic technology and basicskills, and constantly improve the students. At present, research andapplication of physical education teaching principles in track and fieldteaching is obviously lagging. Sports teaching without load and the pursuit of happiness, physicaleducation became the rest class, which lead to the constitution of adolescentstudents decline year after year in China.This article uses the literature method, expert interview method,comparative analysis and other research methods to analysis, from the1961to2010, sports teaching principles in teaching of track and field application ofthe chapter,which of higher education press and people’s sports press incollege sports professional "track and field" textbook15edition.Development and application of new Chinese sports teaching principles in thetrack and field teaching experienced learning and introducing period,stagnation period of reform and opening up, explore the development period, relatively stable period. and the curriculum reform and the misunderstandingof the five stage.The author thinks that Building teaching principles system of physicaleducation teaching in track and field is very necessary. The system shouldcover the following principles, namely: the principle of education, fitnessprinciple, skill principle, gradual principle, the principle of distinction, inprinciple, to appreciate the principle, safety principle. On this basis, theattention should be paid to the connotation, principle of sports teaching intrack and field,which carry out the problem in the process. The paper alsomade scientifically and systematically contribute to the reform anddevelopment of school physical education in our country.
