Deepening cultural restructuring, and promoting vigorous development and enrichmentof socialist culture is currently a hot issue in China. As a major part of socialist culture withChinese characteristics, the importance of traditional Chinese culture is increasinglyprominent, and its effect on the current ideological and political education is moreself-evident. Ideological and political education must be placed in the background oftraditional Chinese culture, especially in the context of economic and cultural globalization,strengthening ideological and political education is an urgent task, and reinforcing oftraditional culture education is exactly an entry point for ideological and political education insecondary vocational schools.This paper, based on the ideological and political education of the students in secondaryvocational schools, making Chinese traditional Confucian culture as the angle of study, takingthe methods of interviewing and carrying out educational practice activities, using600students in secondary vocational schools as the research samples, aims to find a new channelfor the ideological and political education work. The article, from the characteristics of thestudents in secondary vocational schools and the core of Confucianism, centering on "loyalty","filial piety","benevolence" and "righteousness","ceremony","wisdom","trust", analyzes theethical behavior and moral failure of secondary vocational school students, digs up thetheoretical basis of the combination of Confucianism and political education of secondaryvocational students, brings out effective methods for secondary vocational students’ moralfailure, and explores feasible ways to the combination of Confucianism with secondaryvocational students’ ideological and political work.
