At present, good study habits are the hot issue of education, the advices to teachersin 《Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard》 also indicate that teachersshould help students develop good study habits. Good study habits also caught theattention of massive teachers and students.It can help students find the right learningmethod and benefit for life. Taking math notes is a common study habit when highschool students are learning Math,so this paper will launch the research, starting fromthe high school students’ habit of taking math notes, and focus on several aspectsincluding the students’ attitude of taking math notes, students’ cognition of math notes,students’ behavior patterns in taking math notes, contents of math notes and factors thatinfluence students taking math notes. Studying these issues will be significant forteachers to help students form good study habits.This paper mainly adopts the case study method, and uses literature method,observational method, textual analysis, comparison method and interviewing method toassist the proceeding of the case study. And the specific study process is as follows:1.Determine the main viewpoint of this paper according to the literature method;2.Determine the individual cases for studying according to pre-observation research, andindex excellent students, average students and poor students.3. Collect and analyzethe texts of the study objects’ math notes by textual analysis.4. Compare the differenceof students’ math notes using comparison method.5. Finally, interview with students and look into the mental activity of researchers, andcollect objective, impartial factual materials according to the answers of researchers,and find the factors that influence students taking notes.The study found that:1. From the attitude towards the math notes perspective: are more positive; aremoderate;, in which case, act like they are careless about the math notes.2. From the cognition of math notes perspective: think that math notes can help theirlearning and they are very important; think that math notes may have similar types of problems of exams;, however, think that taking math notes is justcompleting the task assigned by the teacher.3. From the behavior patterns in taking math notes perspective: there are certaindifference among6individual cases before class, during class and after class.4. From the contents of math notes perspective: no matter seen from the quantity ofmath note records, or efficiency of the contents, or use ratio of the contents,excellent students are higher than average and poor students, especially the form ofmath notes, poor students can draw lessons from the practice of.5. Certainly, different individual cases have certain diversity, but factors that influencehigh school students taking math notes mainly include: internal and external causes.Internal causes mostly reflect in individual difference, and external causes arefactors about teachers, textbook and environment.6. According to the differences and influence factors above, this paper presents thesuggestions of developing good math notes habit from teachers and students’ aspectseparately.
