A Relevant Study On Employability Skills And Employment Quality Of Vocational Graduates In Economic And Management Majors

Since the enrollment scale in colleges and universities to expand dramatically in1999, the university graduates geometric multiples growth; In2008since the financialcrisis continues to affect, international trading, securities investment, finance andother industries have been hurt first, make the graduate of administration of currentemployment situation is more serious, there is also a big gap between the employmentresults, especially the vocational graduates in economic and management majors isespecially prominent. At the same time more and more enterprises in hiring for thegraduates’ comprehensive quality and practical work ability is very pay attention tothe personal comprehensive ability, comprehensive ability is related to theemployment in employment has played a key role. Academics generally called thecomprehensive abilities required by unit of choose and employ persons labor ability,at the same time, the important index to measure the actual employment isemployment quality that is more scientific than the employment rate. This studyattempts to explore differences of the employment ability and the employment qualitybackground of different student cadres job experience and gender differences, andalso correlation between the employment ability and employment quality ofvocational graduates in economic and management majors.This study selected part of Fujian International Business&Economics Collegeof2012graduates and part of the enterprise management personnel, teachers’representative, etc as test object, idea and finally confirm the vocational graduates ineconomic and management majors employment ability five aspects of dimensions arebasic skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, team work andcommunication ability, sense of self and development capacity, etc.; Using aserviceable research tools, of this study design a practical investigation, empiricalinvestigation and by using the SPSS17.0software to obtain the data information collection and analysis. Results show that:(1) the different student cadres jobexperience of the vocational graduates in economic and management majorsemployment ability exist significant differences, have student cadres job experiencestudents employment ability is higher than less experience of students; The vocationalgraduates in economic and management majors of different gender does not existsignificant differences.(2) different student cadres job experience of the vocationalgraduates in economic and management majors employment objective quality andsubjective quality of employment and the overall quality of employment, etc. There isno significant difference. But have student cadres job experience of the vocationalgraduates in economic and management majors employment quality’s each index isslightly higher than the less experience students. Different gender quality,employment objective quality and subjective quality of employment and the overallquality of employment, etc.. There is no significant difference.(3) The relevance ofemployment ability and employment quality of the vocational graduates in economicand management majors has nothing to do with whether has the student cadreexperience. Also found: employment ability and employment quality plays asignificant role in the low-alcohol correlation; Boy plays a significant role inemployment ability and employment quality of moderate correlation; However,employment ability and employment quality of the correlation of the girl studentcomparatively weak, and not through the test of significance. Finally combined thedata analysis with the perspective of higher vocational students in colleges,universities and goverment are put forward countermeasures and suggestions toimprove employment ability and employment quality.
