Research On The Undergraduate Curriculum Structure Of Sport Industry Management In Universities Between China And America

With the rapid development of economic globalization,sport industry has become one of the fastest-growing industries in today’ s global economy. With 30 years of reform and opening-up and the development of the market economic system,the socialization,industrialization and marketization of sport have been the important strategic choice of Sports development in China.In the new century,the role of sport industry in the national economic and social development is becoming increasingly significant. However,the personnel training of sport industry management in China starts so late,there are so many problems in the construction of sport industry management in universities,especially in the curriculm structure.The research,through application to literature review,specialist interview and comparision,manage to analyze and compare the construction,the cultivation goal,the Subject location,the setting standards and the curriculm of sport industry management in universities between tow countries,to find the problems in curriculm and curriculum offering of China.And through learning the valuable experience of the universities in America,we can get some references for the curriculum reform of sport industry management in universities of China.The result shows that:1.As the developing of sport industry and the in-depth of physical education,North American Society of Sport Management and National Association for Sport and Physical Education are trying to make the review process,teacher’ s standards and the curriculum become standardize.But in China,it’ s new and there is no unified setting standards for the curriculum.So curriculums in different universities are confused.And because of being bounded by the traditional concept of curriculum,the course structures are discordant.2.The differences between Educational philosophy and Education system can impact on the training objectives.In view of the characteristics of the subject location and the professional settings,professionals shoud have some busic quality such as understanding sport,being versed in management and ecomomic,being good at planning,researching,diagnosing and writing.3.We have problems in the curriculm structure of sport industry management in universities,such as,unreasonable Curriculum;lack of uniform standards;The construction of sports industry management separates from the development of practice;the quality of teachers is limited;The practice of teaching have non-uniform standards and it’ s unscientific;seriously lagging of the construction of teaching materials.4.Some advices on the curriculm structure of sport industry management in universities,such as,to clear the training requirements and develop the way of training;contribute the infiltration of different subjects; to strengthen the development of professionals;reasonable the arrangements for the curriculum,optimization of the curriculum structure,increase the proportion of elective courses and deepen the reform of the curriculum system;to improve the practical teaching system,make the instrument of internship results and strengthen the assessment criteria;strengthen the building of teachers;strengthen the construction of teaching materials,updating the teaching contents. What’ s more,based on summarizing the characteristics of the undergraduate curriculum of sport industry management in university between China and America,we give some suggestions with improvement of the undergraduate curriculum of sports industry management in China.
