With the rapid development of golf sports in China, the quality of training professionals has become one of the key factors restricting the development of China's golf industry. Although China's undergraduate education for golf specialty has begun to take shape, compared with developed countries, there are still many deficiencies in the curriculum system. While America has been leading the trend of world's undergraduate education for golf specialty with its high-quality in the specification of personnel training, and its advanced training mode and scientific curriculum system are also world-renowned. This thesis compares the curriculum systems of undergraduate golf specialty of some sample universities in China and America totaling six through documents, interviews, statistics, comparison and analysis. It turns out that the disciplines attribution and the cultivate ways of China's curriculum system of undergraduate golf specialty are the same with that of America's, but there are many differences in the constructive basis, the training objectives, the course offered, the curriculum content and the curriculum implementation, which result from the social and cultural background, the development of economics, the education system and so on. Therefore, this thesis proposes that the optimization of the curriculum system should use the experience of America for reference on the basis of the actual situation of China and on the principles of abiding by systematicness and adaptability, emphasizing the feasibility and personalization of the curriculum design and stressing the characteristics of golf specialty. To construct a new curriculum system of undergraduate golf specialty, this thesis also gives several pieces of advice on how to optimize the existing system according to the present requirements of golf personnel structure in China. For one, set up specialties of golf management, golf sports and management and golf turfgrass management separately in the second-class discipline of Management, Pedagogy and Agriculture, identify their disciplinary nature and specialized contents and adjust their training objectives in order to cultivate senior professionals in the fields of operation and management, sports training and teaching and the management of turf and facilities who are urgently needed by China's golf industry. Secondly, transform the existing curriculum structure. That is to say, change the "three-floor" ladder pattern consisting of public basic courses, specialized basic courses and specialized courses into a more scientific "Four-modules" platform model including basic courses, specialized courses, quality-development courses and practical courses. Thirdly, Curriculum content should be more characteristic and scientific. Reduce the hours of basic courses and theoretical courses, increase the hours of specialized courses and practical courses and add to some courses for the development of personal career and quality. Finally, the ways of the curriculum implementation should be flexible and diversified to cultivate more golf professionals with strong capacities and high qualities, so as to ensure the sustained and sound development of the golf industry in China.
