| Many cities in China are experiencing the early stage of transformation into innovativecity. It will be an important milestone in the history to put "innovation" into economic, socialand cultural and let it to be the core driving force of them. An innovative city construction is acomplex social and economic systems engineering and it need the scientific theory andguidance. Conform to the tendency of the innovative city construction in China and throughthe research on the Positive Research, exploring the theory of an innovative city and thenadjust measures to local conditions and the way has a reality urgency and long-term strategicsignificance.A multi-disciplinary comprehensive approach was used in the innovative city ofLanzhou construction and then got the city innovation system theory frame of it after thethesis in this article about an innovative city literature theory research.
