Brother Leadership Effectiveness Research

“Brother Leadership” was proposed by my professor Bin Yang, in which he analyzed, usingmanagement methods that span over2eras, how the world is representing itself throughauthority, and the transparency and values from the diversified development trend.Todayleadership is facing special challenges in China. However, empirical studies of BrotherLeadership are still rarely seen in today’s society.Does Brother Leadership organization reallyexist in today’s society? What is Brother Leadership’s structure? How effective is it in today’ssociety? Does Brother Leadership have a unique influence? The validity of the leadership modelhas far-reaching social and cultural impact, and its effects are great. The leader’s behavior willconstantly change with the social and cultural changes. After the new revolution reform, fourfactures will be opened, such as the one-child policy, western ideology, riffraff literature, andwide network usage which have had a strong impact on traditional Chinese culture.Allowingbusiness leaders to replace the “Paternalistic Leadership” with the “Brother Leadership”, givesconfirmation to many potential corporations of this methods effectiveness.This study attemptsutilize empirical research from an organizational perspective in order to explain previously askedquestions.This study analyzes leadership theory, sociology theory, and psychology theory and foundthat a leaders’ self ability has a major influence on their members understanding ofleadership.The cultural dimensions theory and the questionnaire survey demonstrated theeffectiveness of different leadership styles on organization and has become an interestingresearch topic for domestic and foreign scholars. However, we have not made a solid conclusionregarding Brother Leadership’s effectiveness. This study will only focus on empirical research ofBrother Leadership’s effectiveness.It researched group identity in order to reveal theeffectiveness of this leadership style. This study will use confirmatory factor analysis to inspectBrother Leadership’s four dimensions of structure. A similar analysis will be used in order to findout the relationship between Brother Leadership and group identity. Finally, this study will verifywhether Brother Leadership has had a positive effect on group identity.
