Employee creativity is an important source of organizational innovation and competitive advantage,whereas abusive leadership is a potentially powerful driver of performance.This study explores the relationship between abusive leadership and creativity in China,which has been a hot topic in scientific circle for nearly four decades,and alike an important issue that should be clarified in innovation process.In the second part,I reviewed and summarized the literatures relating to abusive leadership and creativity,which can be divided into three part.Firstly I reviewed the literature about the relationship between abusive leadership and employee creativity.Second,I outlined two major mediating mechanism psychological factor and interpersonal interaction.Last but not the least,I summarized the moderating factors.On the basis of literature review and from the perspective of social identity theory,this paper takes the knowledgeable staff as the research object to construct the theoretical model of abusive leadership and employee creativity.Through the empirical research method,the author discusses the influence of the abusive leadership on employee creativity,the mediating effect of the group identification,and the adjustment effect of the team's individualistic identity orientation.The results suggested that abusive leadership is significantly negative related to employee creativity;group identification plays a central role in it;the group individualistic identity orientation determines the relationship between group identification and employee creativity: the stronger the individualistic identity orientation,the weaker relationship between group identification and creativity.
