With the development of economics and informatization, modern logistics is fullydeveloped. For a fast-growing economic region, the efficiency of logistics operation notonly determines the region’s economic competitiveness, but also guarantees the region’ssustainable development. On the basis of extensive analysis on relevant achievementshome and abroad and actual logistics development in China, the paper makes sure the bestlogistics centers in Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos through qualitative analysis and quantitativeanalysis.Firstly, the paper analyzes the research background. Then, the paper presents thesignificance of thesis research, and briefly summarizes the theory of regional logisticsdevelopment. Finally, the paper describes research content and technical thread.Secondly, the paper introduces the meaning of logistics center, function and role, andrelation theory, such as the regional logistics center location target, principle, influencefactors, steps and methods, these theories as the siting process modeling provides a solidtheoretical foundation.Thirdly, according to the theory of knowledge, establish a nonlinear 0-1 mixedprogramming logistics center location model, to meet all kinds of constraint conditions,for each parameter, the minimization of an objective function, namely the goods in theway in the process of logistics center minimum total cost, including transportation cost,variable cost and cost of investment and construction. Application of genetic algorithm inthe relevant knowledge, to solve the model, result shows that the model and the feasibilityof the algorithm designed.The last part mainly analyzes actual situation, using quantitative analysis andqualitative analysis to select best sites for Huhhot–Baotou–Erdos regional logisticsfacility, through the MATLAB software, the model of genetic algorithm, and made thefeasibility analysis, determines the final Huhhot–Baotou–Erdos in the best location oflogistics center location.
