The first year of "Twelve Five" is the crucial year of promoting leapfrog development and long-term stability of Xinjiang, a new round of support to their counterparts of Xinjiang, achieving a new socialist rural construction and overall well-off society-times. The vast of Xinjiang is a huge potential consumer market, starting the rural consumption goods markets is the rational choice of the Xinjiang economic development. Increasing farmers’ income and making rural residents to live a happy life can narrow the gap between urban and rural areas, to achieve the development goals of expanding domestic demand and economic growth. Therefore, the systematic studying the changes of the rural consumer goods markets, accurate grasping the consumer demand of rural residents, and actively guiding and promoting the rationalization of consumption level and consumption structure of rural residents in Xinjiang, has the important practical significance to achieve well-off society and long-term stability of Xinjiang.In this paper, the consumption of rural residents in Xinjiang as the main line, First, using the total of retail sales in rural area over the years and the income of rural residents-consumer information on the situation, analyzing the consumption status of Xinjiang rural consumer goods in order to obtained the changes in characteristics of total amount and structure in the rural consumer goods. Secondly, using the method of combining quantitative and qualitative, combining static and dynamic analysis the factors of affecting the development of Xinjiang rural consumption goods market. On this basis, using of econometric and statistical knowledge predict the prospects of Xinjiang rural consumption goods market. Finally, under the guidance of the theory of marketing, from the perspective of enterprise marketing to put forward the suggestions of the development of Xinjiang rural consumption goods market.To face a new round of western region development of country, a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the rural consumption goods market will improve the consumption level of rural residents in Xinjiang, guide the rationalization of the consumption structure of Xinjiang rural residents, achieve Xinjiang the comprehensive construction well-off society and leapfrog development. At the same time to provide certain reference for the Xinjiang macroeconomic system management.
