Research On Relationship Between Plain Forestry Industry And Farmer’s Income In Jiangsu

Forestry industry has became a prosperous enterprise, and the development of plain forestry industry in Jiangsu has unique features. A forestry industry which takes ecological, economics and social benefits into consideration is emerging. It has developed into a comprehensive industry with multiple managements which includes fast-growing and high-yield plantation, wood processing and man-made board industry, florists, pulping and papermaking, further processing of ginkgos and forest tourism and so on.The farmer’s income of Jiangsu has made a rapid development wholly since1978when the new policy of Reform and Open-Door started, but it still exists serval problems of the increasing disparity between different districts in Jiangsu as well as gap between Jiangsu and some developed districts of littoral.Under the background above, it is of great significance to push the surplus labor force to shift and transform, to speed up urbanization, to provide farmers with more employment opportunities and then to increase farmer’s income, especially in northern part of Jiangsu province, through study on relationship between forestry industry and farmer’s income in Jiangsu.This study takes development of forestry industry and farmer’s income of Jiangsu as subjects. Firstly, by quantitative and qualitative analysis, this paper analyzes the rapid growth of forestry industry and structure industry change. And by comparative analysis this paper analyzes variations of Jiangsu farmer’s income in structure and disparities in different regions. Then, the degree of intrinsic relationship is quantitatively studied by establishing grey incidence analysis model between forestry primary, secondary and tertiary industries and construction of farmer’s income respectively. Finally, based on the analyses above, this paper provides corresponding countermeasures to optimize forestry industry and to expand farmer’s income.
