Ordos is a magical place, although the underground is rich in resources, but hasbecome land of poverty. Then, it has changed incredible and produced “Ordos Mode”. Itis one of the eight typical regions in China’s reform and opening up, and called “BrightPearl” by President Hu Jintao.All the changes occurring in the Ordos close to a miracle: A remote poverty-stricken areas of the western region has accounted for nearly1/6of the coal reservesand1/3of natural gas reserves, almost every step underfoot are resources. But it is notthe reasons why we are so concerned about Ordos. In China, the city like Ordos whichis affluent in resources and materials is so common. Since the development of the west,Ordos has made remarkable achievements, it from a western disadvantaged areas leap tothe forefront of the prefecture-level cities and creates a backward region to achieveleapfrog development of the road.“Ordos Mode” is not the first development model in our China. In the preceding,“Wenzhou Mode” and “Sunan Mode” are produced in the southeast coastal areas. Butthe “Ordos Mode” is the only one which is the most extensive, dissemination, attentionand affective in our western China. Therefore, as a novelty, it is impossible to achieveperfection. So the development of “Ordos Mode” must be forward and twists. Then theother side of the “Ordos Mode” is existing both pitfalls and problems. However, theflaws and shortcomings are not posing a threat to the success of the “Ordos Mode”. Italso remains on western region’s economy by leaps and bounds in China. That is whymy article chooses the “Ordos Mode” as the subjects. This part is the most important one, the propose ofstudying on “Ordos Mode” is how to making economic and social development of theentire western region.
