Securities Company Funds Management Research

In developed countries funds management business is one of the most common and mature financial intermediary service, by which most financial investment activities are implemented. In China, with the rapid development of security market, the size of fund management business in securities companies is also increasing. With the acceleration of security market’s internationalization, the well development of funds management will contribute to capital market’s developing and promoting finance business model to mixed, and it also has practical value in promoting finance innovation, enriching investment products, strengthen market competitiveness of financial institutions and so on. Because funds management business of security companies in China is a new business, whose relate laws and regulations are imperfect, operational flow are unsound, and operation mechanism are immature, therefore, research on its regulations construction, business model and risk prevention becomes an important topic. Based on the comparison of domestic and foreign background and development process of funds management business in security companies, this article analyses the environment and problems faced by funds management business of security companies in China, and put forward the research ideas and main content.Based on the comparison of domestic and foreign background and development process of funds management business in security companies, this article analyses the environment and problems faced by funds management business of security companies in China, and put forward suggestion on completion of the relevant laws, and regulatory mechanisms, and propose some ideas on constructing business model and comprehensive evaluation system. Then, combined with my personal practical work experience, this article also analyses the risks in concrete business process and put forward suggestion on risks prevention. The first chapter is the introduction of this article, explaining subject background, research purpose, research ideas and system, research method, research innovation and shortage and so on; the second chapter summarizes the literature review at home and abroad; the third chapter introduces funds management business model of security companies, describing from the characteristics of funds management, the model of funds management and centralized funds management; the fourth chapter introduces the development process, present status, and development direction of funds management of security companies:the fifth chapter cites China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. as the case, based on present status and facing problems in its funds management business, discusses effective solutions to the problems.The innovation of this article is building a new funds management framework for security companies which combining funds management business and other business of security companies, the new model contributes to funds playing a more important role in companies’ value maximization. For the funds management theory is sensitive to practical situation and some research data is difficult to get, the research remain to further study and the practical value of this article may need modification according to actual situation.
