The Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Food And Beverage Industry In Hebei Province

China’s catering industry has developed rapidly and its structure is maturing with the continuous development of the society and economy. As an important part of the service industry, food and beverage industry is playing an increasingly important role in the industry led and absorbing labor force. As the concern on the food and beverage industry improved, food safety issues and industry vicious competition, existing in the development process of the food and beverage industry, highlights and draw our attention. These problems is not conducive to the food and beverage industry healthy and sustainable development, and also reduces the food and beverage industry in the public image,effecting food and beverage industry to play its role.In recent years, the rapid development of food and beverage industry in Hebei Province, plays an important role in the process of economic development in Hebei Province. In 2009, catering added value of 2.4714 million yuan, accounting for 4% of the value added in services industry. The ability of the food and beverage industry to absorb labor is rising, employing 4% of total employment and digesting some of the floating population due to urbanization. With the rising contribution to economy, food and beverage industry become the new force of economic development in Hebei Province. Food and beverage industry is also facing many problems, like food safety issues , industry vicious competition, lacking funds, unbalanced regional development and so on. These problems have seriously restricted the development of the catering industry in Hebei Province. In this paper, comparative analysis was used to find out the situation of investment in fixed assets in previous years, the number of employees, and other specific indicators, finding the elements and approximate trend of the industry,and explaining the questions.The coefficient of variation was used to analyze the gap between different cities in Hebei Province and the gap between Hebei and other developed provinces. It is suggested that gap between Hebei and other developed provinces is gradually narrowing, and meals income directly determine the trend of the turnover, which have become a key to influence gap between Hebei and other provinces. Within the scope of Hebei Province,, the development gap of the food and beverage industry between the various cities is gradually increased, and the gap between the growth rate of the growth is also on the rise.Three methods,including gray relational analysis, error correction model and factor analysis,were analyzed on demographic factors, economic factors and social and environmental factors that affect the restaurant industry development in Hebei Province. Demographic factors on the impact of the number of employees of the restaurant industry as a whole is higher than the degree of influence on the restaurant industry’s output, namely the impact of demographic factors on the development of the catering industry is achieved by the number of practitioners and consumer groups.Various economic factors affect the extent and direction of the development of the catering industry. Agriculture and service sector output in varying degrees play a positive role in boosting the development of the catering industry. In addition, the degree of market openness and facilities level of cities,in varying degrees, affect the development of the catering industry.This article proposes a solution from the perspective of capital, talent, and social environment, including improving the personnel training system, promote the process of urbanization and so on. It is expected that solutions can solve the shortage of investment, lack of personnel and issues of industry leading problems in the food and beverage industry, and promote catering industry in Hebei Province.
