Study Of Construction Project Cost Control Based On Value Engineering

With the development of the market economy, if enterprises want to gain a firm foothold in the fierce market competition, to provide the community with high quality and low cost products to get a higher economic benefit, they must strive to reduce the cost of the product. At present, the problems of construction enterprises in the construction project cost control, severely restricting the development of construction enterprises. Therefore, it is imperative to improve the management of the construction enterprise cost control. The introduction of value engineering theory not only can solve the heavy quality light cost problem in the cost management, but also can combine improving product function and reducing product cost, to make up the deficiencies in the traditional cost management methods.The value engineering is widely used in foreign construction projects, and the value engineering cost control theory system is matures. But, in China, the application of value engineering in construction project is still in its infancy, and not the majority of the construction companies are familiar and master with it. In order to allow the construction enterprises to become more familiar with the value engineering, and consciously and skillfully apply value engineering to control cost, it is necessary to establish a value engineering system on the basis of the theory and practice, to provide a strong support to improve core competitiveness of the construction enterprises.This paper attempts to analysis the characteristics of the construction project cost control, use value engineering theory, draw from foreign value engineering research achievements, combine the reality of our country, establish a scientific, systematic and practical value engineering cost control system, to provide practical and effective method to optimize construction projects construction organization design, purchase materials, select the machinery and equipment, and manage construction, to reduce costs, to improve the overall competitiveness of the construction enterprises in the fierce market environment, and to improve our construction enterprises’status in international competition in the market.This paper, through empirical analysis, demonstrated the application of value engineering in the construction project cost control is scientific, rational and practical, and it has significant effects not only in technical aspects and economic aspects, but also in social aspects. In the principle of combining basic research and applied research-. combining macro analysis and micro analysis, combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper made a systematic study on the application of the value engineering in the construction project cost control, and the specific research methods include literature study, theoretical analysis, case studies, comparative analysis, observation summary method, indirect empirical method, the expert survey, and so on.There are5figures,39tables,50references in this thesis.
