Research Of Business Model Based On Business Ecosystem

In any corner of the world, evolution is happening with high speed. As the pace of economic globalization, new technology, new macro environment, customer behavior change are invading the hole traditional business. It leads to the constantly blurring of industry boundaries, destruction of traditional commercial mode and organizational form. During this period, Business model only concentrate on competition or cooperation, which can’t overcome the challenge of the times. More and more business elites have recognized that the challenge they are facing is how to manage the assets an enterprise not directly owned. More and more enterprises operate in the commercial network. Many scholars who work on business model have reached a consensus that constructing value network is becoming an important element of enterprise business model. People are focusing on how to use the external resources to create value. In real life, value network is always a complex community of interests. So I think in the complex business environment, an enterprise need a business model that can continual develop and adapt to changes in the external environment. The trade of the future business model is how to construct a co-evolution business ecosystem. Then the competition between enterprises will be replaced by the competition between ecosystems. But recently there is only a little researches about business model based on business ecosystem. So there is theoretical significance and the practical significance in this paper.This paper is based on business ecosystem theory. With deeper research on this new business model, we are trying to provide a new theoretical guidance for the business model research. This study has placed the business activities into the business ecosystem. With the method of literature researches, normative research and case analysis, it construct a commercial ecosystem model of business modes innovatively. And it also analyzes the elements of this business model and its value logic. With these efforts, it considers that in a healthy developing business ecosystem, the core enterprises play the irreplaceable role of the leadership. And the purpose of this business model is to construct a value platform which is benefit for the whole ecosystem to create and share the value.We think the key for a business model to success is to operate and manage it effectively. Based on the former research, it considers that business ecosystem is a dynamic continuous circulation and innovation process. In its four different steps, its strategic focus is different. With the ecological niche positioning, core enterprise in the business ecosystem need to maintain and manage the platform and its network, which form the foundation for effective operation of business model.At last, to put the theory into practice, we chose Alibaba ecosystem as a case. We arranged and analysed its business model in different steps, to test the scientificalness and rationality of our research. And we also made a forecast for the future development of this ecosystem business model.This paper is just a exploring attempt. With the limitation of time, space and my own knowledge, particularly the immature of the research about business ecosystem, this paper is not profound and comprehensive enough in many aspects. It still need more deeper researches.
