The Research On Industrial Transfer And Undertaking In The Process Of Industrialization Of Gansu Province

With the rising price of land, raw materials and labor, industrial enterprises, especially labor-intensive enterprises are facing increasing cost pressures in eastern China. These enterprises have to transfer to the central and western regions. The western less developed areas should undertake the industries transfer from the eastern areas initiatively and reasonably. It’s one of the main ways to accelerate the process of industrialization and narrow the regional disparities in China.Using the basic research methods of economic history, taking Gansu province for example, this thesis analyze and collate large amounts of historical data, make a sys-tematical analysis and contrast for the process of industrialization of developing areas in the west since the Westernization Movement. It demonstrate that: industrial process in west less developed areas is closely related with industrial transfer in the previous process of development.essential, the industrial development history is the history of industry undertaking in the western less developed areas. Learning from history, while undertaking the industrial transfer, the less developed western regions must develop more stable and open development environment, attach great importance to the dominant role of market mechanism, focus on the special role of local government, nurture and enhance self-development ability continuously.
