Poverty Plight Of The Typical Village

In the collectivization era, many villages which are in the forefront of development have become the models and examples of agricultural construction because of the massive collectivization propaganda of setting up the typical examples. However, in the new period after the reform and open policy, some of them have become poor. The reason leading to this phenomenon do not have nothing with the embedding politics which emerged in the process of cooperation and collectivization of country economy. In the other word, the disaster of the Great Culture Revolution Movement ruind the simple example. The change that the marking economy turns the focus of development from politics to economics has made the typical villages out of the list of development heavily. This is the times and objective reason which the typical villages downfallen. However, we find that there still are some typical villages walk in the list of development such as the successful transformation of Shanxi DaZhaiCun. From social and economic characteristics and the cultural feature, other typical villages such as XiGouCun cannot so, It is still in the poverty situation. The reason is subjective. The inherent resources and environment conditions and location advantages of the village are poor and lack of human capita,and village leaders don’t play their roles as leaders. Meanwhile, the efficiency of poor village of poverty relief is very low. The new historical period, how to help these typical villages spring out of poverty is the urgent affair. All in all, such villages want to gain considerable development, keep the momentum of development, and even walk in the forefront of market economy development, the self-orientation, adjusting the strategy, seizing the opportunity, taking advantage of all of the village resources including social capital of the village elites, and village political capital are necessary. Perhaps these are important measures that the typical villages get out of poverty and walk the forefront of the development.
