Optimized management of industrial zones is of great significance to assemble production factors, optimize resources allocation, accelerate system innovation, and construct industrial environment.31 typical industrial zones were investigated. Based on AHP and factor analysis with Shanxi statistical yearbook, the relation between total benefits and the input-output of land use, the industrial land level, and regional land structure were analyzed.The results showed as follows:(1) Coal industry had the greatest benefit in the industrial zone and in typical industrial zone, comprehensive efficiency were 2.250 and 2.7800. Textile industry had the lowest, comprehensive efficiency were-0.923 and -0.597. Heavy industries such as metallurgical, electric power and chemical industry were of high benefits. Benefit of hi-tech industry was relatively low within the whole province. However, in the industrial zone, benefits of hi-tech, medical, food, chemical and architecture material industry were high. (2) The land level of typical industrial zone was approximately normal distribution. Comprehensive efficiency of considerable amount of industrial zones was distributed from 20 to 60, while relatively efficient and relatively inefficient zones were less. (3) There were correlations among each two of the comprehensive benefits, input, output, land use efficiency and average land use of the corporations. Correlation coefficient of input and output, output and average land use of the corporations were less than 0, at the negative correlation level. Correlation coefficient of input and land use efficiency, input and land use efficiency, land use efficiency and average land use of the corporations, use efficiency and average land use of the corporations were 0.0029,0.106,0.119 and 0.158, which less than 2, at the mild positive correlation level. Correlation coefficient of output and land use efficiency, output and comprehensive benefits, land use efficiency and comprehensive benefits were 0.219,0.221 and 0.324, at the positive correlation level. The conclusion was that the keys to improve the efficiency of industrial land use were efficient use of corporation investment, regulating sale of corporation land use, increasing land use efficiency, upgrading the industrial structure and coordinating development in industrial zones.
