Research On Jiangsu Zhejiang And Shanghai Regional Independent Innovation Ability And Efficiency Evaluation

With the rapid development of the science and technology, the era of economicglobalization based on technology has been fully come, innovation has become the newengine of Regional economic development. Regional independent innovation not onlyplays a key role in the realization of regional socio-economic development goals, but alsobecome one of the key factors to measure the competitiveness of a region. JiangsuZhejiang and Shanghai delt, relying on rich scientific and technological talent reserve,good economic environment, and developed high-tech industries, becomes one of the mostdeveloped regions of the Economy and Science. The study on Jiangsu Zhejiang andShanghai regional independent innovation ability and efficiency will play a decisive role inconstructing independent-innovation-country.This paper, on the basis of reviewing the existing research literature on regionalindependent innovation, first, analyzed Jiangsu Zhejiang and regional innovation statuscombining with the national average. Secondly, from multiple angles, it evaluated JiangsuZhejiang and Shanghai regional independent innovation ability with the use of Entropyweight and TOPSIS and then assessed Jiangsu Zhejiang and Shanghai regionalindependent innovation efficiency by use of DEA-based Malmquist index. Finally, basedon the evaluation results, reasonable recommendations were given on how to enhance theability and efficiency of regional independent innovation in Jiangsu Zhejiang andShanghai.
