Food security is a major event related to people’s lives and national security. And it mainly affected from five factors:the grain fluctuation coefficient, the level of grain reserves, The grain self-sufficiency rate, consumption index, and the assurance level of low-income groups access to food. In recent years, Government leads the development of agricultural, especially emphasis on food production, the grain production of China has increased significantly for eight consecutive years, and the capacity of grain production has improved greatly. According to data, China’s food security now state in a balance situation basically, but in long term, It will facing challenges from population growth and the reduction of farmland.Since Reform and Opening-up, China has entered a rapid growth phase of the economic.The development of China’s industrialization has been in the middle stage of the urbanization process, a large number of human resources moved out from agriculture to Industry. Since1978, the number of the reduction of farmland has reached300,000ha each year, the reduction of farmland has become a significant feature within China’s reform and openmg-up.The impact of land conversion on food production is double-sided. On the one hand, It related to the upgrading of industrial structure; on the other hand, It also affect to China’s food security. As a positive perspective, the conversion of farmland promote economic development, It enhance the capacity of agricultural technologies, increasing public investment to improve the demand for agricultural products and farmers’incentives of agricultural inputs to improve food production. As the negative view, the conversion of land to reduce the amount of cultivated farmland, and this may lead to a decline in food production capacity.In this article, the author summarizes the measures and experiences of other countries which have taken to combat land too fast Conversion, Proposed establishing a scientific protection mechanisms to protect farmland resources, enhancing farmers’enthusiasm of protecting farmland resources to increase grain production, encouraging innovation and promotion of agricultural science and technology to improve food production efficiency and to strengthen agricultural infrastructure construction, and improving the abolition of agricultural tax policy.
