Since the Reform and Opening up policy as well as China's urbanization process accelerated, the scarcity of arable land resources is becoming increasingly apparently, arising from that the issue of food security has also become the focus of the majority of scholars. In this study, based on previous theoretical results and practical experience, the introduction of the historical data of China's arable land and food production, combined with the countries and regions, farmland protection and food security policies and regulations, the correlation between Chengdu, farmland protection and food security empirical analysis of the arable land and food production in the prediction of future short-term trend, meanwhile, put forward reasonable proposals to protect farmland and stabilize grain production capacity, and strive to build a more complete protection of farmland and food security empirical research system. The paper consists of six chapters. Chapter1is an introduction, the main research framework of the comb paper, review of research status and research methods, technology roadmap and value. Chapter2is a relevant theoretical basis, which is mainly involved in economic theory explained the meaning of the farmland protection and food security, as well as articles. Chapter3is the farmland protection and food security, correlation analysis, in the context of China's arable land is decreasing and food security problems, combined with the specific data of Chengdu, the Pearson correlation analysis, and the arable land and food production as well as he correlation study. Chapter4is the protection of farmland and food security situation analysis, the use of neural network prediction model based on time series, arable land, population and food for the next15years, the minimum per capita arable land and arable land pressure index to predict. Chapter5, farmland protection and food security policy proposals put forward reasonable proposals on the basis of summing up the analysis of the conclusions of the previous data on the protection of farmland and stabilize grain production. Chapter6includes conclusion and prospects.
