At present, market competition is becoming increasingly fierce in the various walks of life. For construction enterprises, how to maintain their own advantages in the fierce competition of the construction industry is the ultimate development goal of each enterprise. Construction enterprises want to have a long-term development and a good performance, they must focus on the cost control management. Only in this way can they hand over building products of high quality and low cost, then the company can achieve the goal of profit maximization.The purpose of the project cost control is to lower the project cost and improve economic benefits of the enterprise. It lasts throughout the project construction process of the construction enterprise, and it is the core of the full process cost control management work of the company. This shows that we must carry on the scientific and advanced control management which will produce interests for the company. Studying the project cost control also has very important practical significance to improve the market competitiveness of building enterprise.With the study of actual situation about Chongqing A construction company, we find that it still uses those traditional cost control management method, which makes cost control can’t maintain consistent with development of the market, and can’t accord with the demands of the market economy. That can not achieve the function of cost control. Based on relevant theory and research at home and abroad, this paper analyses the existent questions and reasons of cost control in A construction company from the angle of project cost control at the moment, and through the systemic analysis of project construction cost" classification, process and basic link of cost control, using the theory of dynamic real-time cost control and expenses deviation analysis method to analyze the engineering management practice of A construction company. Practice has proved that expenses deviation analysis method has reckoned effect and application value on dynamic control of project progress and the cost of the project indeed.Engineering project cost control must center on the cost control and establish a project cost control system which throughout all the construction workers and every department in enterprise. The enterprise need to establish project cost control system to implement comprehensive and total control and promote overall improve of the project management level and construction technical level.
