In2010, a series of suicide accidents happened in Foxconn factory of Shenzhen, at last, there are10people died and3serious injured. The public media reported these accidents, they had a statistics that all the people are Generation Y. After this accident, problems about Generation Y attracted more and more focus from the social. When I explored the internet and magazines about Generation Y, I found the thinking about Generation Y’s problem is still stayed on some analysis about the problem itself. I can’t get enough information about why it happened, and how can we stop it. People made a lot of conclusions about Generation Y’s problem. But most of them were based on the subjective judgments, and these conclusions had no empirical data to prove their opinions. Though some researchers had did some studies on Generation Y, and absolutely achieved some outcomes, but most of these outcomes were published on some humble magazines. And most of these outcomes were nearly the same. I want to obtain some advices for the Generation Y’s problems from these articles. But most of them were known by everyone. According to the serious problems and the need of useful advice, I changed my vision for this study. Some method based on psychology and organizational behavior might be more helpful for these problems. As we know, organization politics are spread in various organizations during a very long period. However, some academic studies on organizational politics were began in1950s. Organizational politics is a concept in organizational behavior. A lot of researchers made great interests in organizational politics, but they found it’s hard to measure soon, and the mean of the concept is not very clear. So they made little progress in a long period. When Ferris combined the organizational politics with ’perception’. Studies on perception of organizational politics made great progress from1990s to now. These studies had very solid foundation because of Ferris and other early researchers’outcomes. In recent years. these studies focused on how to affect the negative impact of organizational politics. And their ultimate aim is to improve the personal performance and organizational performance. This article is also begin with this purpose. This article include six parts. Part1is the study’s background, goal and main process. In this part, I tried to explain what Generation Y’s organizational politics, why should we study it, and how to study it. Part2is a review of previous research of organizational politics and Generation Y. This part can clarify some basic conceptions, and get ready for the following research. Part3is the hypothesis for the research. This part set up6hypothesis of the relationship between the main variables according to other researchers’outcomes and my judgment. At last I build a conceptual model for my research. Part4is a introduction of this article’s method, including research method, data collecting method, data analyzing method. Some scales of main variables is also include. The validity and reliability is also examined in the part. Part5is the analysis of data from the samples. I build a structure equation model for the previous hypothesizes. This part can check the mechanism of Generation Y’s organizational politics perception. Part6is the conclusion of this research and some discussion for future researches. I made some useful advices for managers and Generation Ys in this part. The result of this research shows that organizational politics have significant negative effect on organization commitment and job satisfaction, organizational politics have a strong positive effect on Generation Y’s turnover intention. The organizational politics have a negative effect on personal performance, but the effect is not direct, organization commitment, job satisfaction and turnover intention made a mediating effect on this relationship.
