Currently, environmental issues arouse world wide concern, due to the increasing number of pollution accidents.Dealing with environmental problems becomes one o f the most important government responsibilities in many countries. Besides that, no n-profit organization, media and other social associations are dedicated into working out solutions. However, the big picture faces by human beings is far from promising. Companies, the largest consumers of natural resource, take a primary responsibility in environment protection, which produce a massive amount of wastes. It is a key factor for human beings to achieve a win-win situation when the instinct of pursuing comes across the avoidance of sacrificing our living environment. In this process, further questions are brought forward such as:what affects the environmental performance as one of methods of management evaluation? Which kind of adjustment should be made? In the background of looking for answers widely among the academic, it is necessary to produce methods to improve the environmental efficiency in listed companies by means of preliminary exploration. The dissertation attempts to make some progress on that topic while there are hardly any issues focusing on it now days in China.The dissertation is divided into five parts, the first part is the preamble, introducing background, significance and methods and summarizing the main point of domestic and foreign scholars. The second part includes the concept and the basic theory. The concept of environmental performance includes financial performance and management performance. Analysis of the manifestations of environmental performance and financial performance and environmental performance, introduces basic theory and environmental performance and to analyze the mechanism of action.The third part describes the environmental performance of listed companies on China’s strategic emerging industries, sums up the current status of China’s strategic emerging industries of listed companies and then analyses factors affecting the environmental performance of listed companies in terms of both external and internal. The fourth part builds the logistic regression model by the sample data selection and variable index and SPSS software to analysis key factors related research. There is an empirical results that state-owned share proportion, ROE,LEV, ISO management system certification and environmental departments have a significant positive correlation with environmental performance in the listed company and asset size and location have a positive correlation with environmental performance, but not significantly. Part V summarizes the conclusions, inakes recommendations, and outlook s the research future.There are innovation and characteristics that the dissertation analyses factors affecting environmental performance of listed companies. Currently environmental issues focused on environmental information disclosure, environmental performance evaluation and the relationship between environmental performance and economic performance. The dissertation tries to analyses factors affecting the environmental performance of listed companies to guide the listed companies how to improve environmental effect and environmental performance, in order to achieve the sustainable development of enterprises and the environment. It is still relatively rare in the domestic and international research that the dissertation considers both finance and the sustainable development theory, the stakeholder theory, the externality theory and the resource dependence theory and analyses the factors affecting environmental performance and current status of China’s strategic emerging industries.
