Research On Coordinated Development Of Central City And Region Under The System Of"Province Governing County"

As a "growth pole" in a certain region, a central city with the function of concentration and radiation, has become an important role to strengthen urban competitiveness and coordinate the economic development of urban city and its region. Based on the empirical analysis of Hangzhou, this paper focus on one aspect of central city in a certain region, namely, how to break through the system bound of "Province Governing the County" and give full play of the radiation leading role as a central city to the surrounding counties.Specifically speaking, in the first chapter of the paper, it explains the backgrounds, importance and innovations, the basic methods of analysis, the difficultys and framework of the research, etc. It comes to the relative conceptions and theoretical foundation in the second chapter. In the third chapter, beginning with the function of central city in regional development, the paper presents the reality development gap which is becoming bigger and bigger, and then comes up with the objective contradiction of regional development in the background of "Province Governing the County" system. In the forth chapter, it selectively analysis the ultimate and institutional factors that impacts on the radition roles of central city. The fifth chapter focus on the mechanism analysis of "Province Governing the County" system. The sixth chapter proposes several conclusions and suggestions of this topic. And finally, it comes to the summary of this paper and of course, there are some shortages of the research.
