The Evaluation Of Technical Advances Of Service Industry And Its Impact On Economic Growth

With the arrival of the post-industrial era, the service industry developed rapidly, and occupied the dominant position in the national economy. Economic growth theory suggests that technological progress is an important driving force of economic growth. In the meanwhile, the academia paid more and more attention to technical progress of service industry and its contribution to economic growth, and even some academics have suggested:service innovation is the hope of future economic growth.This paper firstly reviewed some relevant literature, and conducted deep analysis on how will the service technological progress affect the economic growth, in the next calculated the TFP growth of the three major industries through the Malmquist Index calculation model, then apllied an index decomposition of the technical progress of chinese service industry and compares two levels of analysis evaluation by Malmquist Index model estimation results. Then according to the definition of distance function, the CD production function and the Malmquist index, the auther constructed the measuring methods of three major industries’progress compared with technical progress of the based period. On this basis, through Neoclassical theory of economic growth model, a panel data model of technological progress of service industry’s impact on economic growth was constructed. By using the model’s measurement results, a comparative analysis of technological progress was made, which explained service industry’s impact on economic growth from two dimensions of the inter-industry and inter-regional. At last the auther draw a conclusion of this paper, and in accordance with the previous theoretical and empirical analysis of the results, proposed some related policy suggestion.
