| Urbanization shows the concentrate of the local area's comprehensive strength.At the present, the economics of our counter needs revolution. Old urbanization have not fully adapted to national circumstances. The economic is slowdown. The new urbanization becomes a new economic boosters.According to existing research results, this studies on the relationship between new urbanization and economic growth of Jiangsu Province. First, the new urbanization and economic growth levels analyzed using descriptive statistics tools. Secondly, building and measuring new urbanization index after understand new urbanization Principal component analysis calculated the final comprehensive new urbanization rate. Finally, do empirical analysis. Empirical divided into two parts: Real provincial and prefecture-level city. Jiangsu Province research is analyzed by time series data regression and VAR model. Prefecture-level cities use panel regression analysis. Prefecture-level city in which research sub-periods(2000-2006, 2007-2013) in order to study the new urbanization and traditional economic impact of urbanization on size. The difference of the studies of sub-region(southern, central and northern Jiangsu) shows the result that new urbanization and economic growth are relevant and reinforce each other. New urbanization on the economic impact factor is greater than traditional. From this aspect, the new urbanization is better than the traditional urbanization.
