Research On Spatial Variation And Its Coordination Of Regional Development In Shandong Province

Along with the change of the influencing factors, the regional spatial structure also evolves,and the evolution process shows some regularity. The regions at different stages of developmenthave different spatial structure characteristics, roughly similar stage of development in differentregions has similar spatial structure characteristics. The economy of Shandong is in a transitionperiod, needing to research on the regional spatial structure of Shandong to ensure thesustainable development of regional economy, society and environment. Now Shandong is at anaccelerating stage of development on industrialization and urbanization, environmental pollution,ecological deterioration and other issues have become major factors for sustainable development,so coordinated research on the three major subsystems of regional economy, environment andsociety is imperative.The thesis is divided into six chapters, as follows:Firstly, the paper mainly introduces the background and significance of the research, reviewsthe current status of researchment on spacial structure and coordination at home and abroard, anddescribes the contents, methods and technology roadmap of this paper.Secondly, the paper applys the human-earth system theory, scarcity of Environmentalresources theory, eco-environment-economic theory, Sustainable development theory, and otherrelevant theories. Based on these theories, the evaluation system of the regional spatialdevelopment and coordination on Shandong is constructed, also the coordination andcoordinated development model are introduced.Thirdly, analyzing the space differential evolution process and its current situation of regionaldevelopment of Shandong province, which is from three aspects of economic power,environment quality and social development among the years of 2000, 2004 and 2009; thecurrent situation of several spatial structures existing in Shandong province is analyzed, such asthe regions of east, center and west, the region with one body of two wings, the region of oneyellow and one blue, the three major metropolitan and 17 cities.Fourthly, the forming factors of spatial variation on regional development are analyzed from four aspects, such as natural factors, economic factors, and social factors.Fifthly, the spatial coordination analysis is on coordination and coordinated development ofeconomy–environment, economy–society, environment–society and economy–environment–society, studying on the regions of east, center and west, the region with one body of two wings,the region of one yellow and one blue, the three major metropolitan and 17 cities.Sixthly, countermeasures and suggestions, countermeasures and suggestions for spatialdifferentiation and coordination are proposed based on the analysis above.
