Spatial Differentiation And Spatial Development Policy Of Economies In Shandong Province

Regional economy spatial structure is the spatial network relationship constituted by the relative positions, agglomeration and diffusion process as well as scale structure, etc, of the economic activities and its elements in space. Regional economy spatial structure is the result of the society-economy long-term development, the social economic factors free dispositing and regional development policy implementing according to the conditions of regional location, nature, economy, social politics and so on. As the indicator of the regional economy development states, the study of regional economy spatial structure may distinguish the regional economy development states whether reasonable and health or not, the relationships with the other regions and the organization of the internal parts whether harmonious and ordering or not, etc. In addition, the regional economy spatial structure is the geography spatial foundation, it can produce the own economic benefits, such as saving economy, agglomeration economy and economy of scale. Along with the changing of the influencing factors, the regional economy spatial structure also evolves, and the evolution process presents some regularity. The regions of different development phases have different spatial structure characteristics, the different regions of development phases which approximately close to each other have similar spatial structure characteristics. In the booming time of Shandong economy, we must research on Shandong regional economy spatial structure, regulate and reorganize its economical spatial organization, so that its economy develops fast and continually. So the dissertation studied the Shandong economical spatial structure further and systematically.The dissertation divides into seven chapters. Chapter 1 is introduction, elaborating topic selected background, literature reviewed, the research devised, region studied and data origin. Chapter 2 analyzes the Shandong economical spatial differentiation present pattern and the economical spatial organization pattern in the spatial levels of city and county. Chapter 3 analyzes the evolution process of Shandong economical spatial differentiation from 1990 to 2004. Chapter 4 analyzes the influences of spatial relations between regions to economical growth and economical spatial differentiation. Chapter 5 analyzes the influencing factors of Shandong economical spatial differentiation in order to discuss the mechanism of Shandong economical spatial differentiation. Chapter 6 on basis of the conclusions above, unifying actual situation, proposes the spatial development policy of Shandong economies. Chapter 7 is the conclusion, explaining the main conclusions and deficiencies.Through above research the dissertation draws conclusion, as follows:Shandong economy presents remarkable spatial differentiation, the development level of the eastern is the highest, the middle is the next, the west is the weakest. The pattern of regional economy spatial organization presents the remarkable and multi-dimensional core - periphery structure.In the Shandong economical spatial differentiation process, the regions of higher economical development level expand from the coast to the interior along the transportation lines, and this kind of spatial pattern evolution has relation to the development initial level and the development speed of regional economies.Shandong regional economies have remarkable spatial autocorrelation, the transformation of regional economical types not only relies on own foundation and investment, but also receives the influences of its neighbours.The influencing factors of Shandong economical spatial differentiation include historical factor, transportation condition, investment, industrial structure, population structure, and natural condition, geographical environment, policy and so on. And the spatial distribution and the evolution tendency of comprehensive level of influencing factors is consistent with that of economical development level, all of them develop along transportation lines.Spatial development strategies of Shandong economies are made based on different regional functions, namely Qingdao-Yantai-Weihai economical growth core area implements optimized development, Jinan-Zibo-Dongying economical growth core area implements key development, Jining-Qufu economical growth area implements the key and limited development, in order to construct the reasonable core - periphery structure, use the core area to impetus economical growth of periphery area, and realize coordination of regional economy development.
