Highway Project Design Phase Of The Cost Control Research

Currently, a large amount of money has been invested into highway projects inour country. However, the capital has been wasted a lot, because the control ofbuilding cost is insufficient. Therefore, how to control the building cost efficientlybecome very important and the research of building cost control became animperative issue. In this thesis, the control the building cost in design period isstudied and the shortcomings are improved.Firstly, reference to the present situations in home and abroad, the existingproblems in the building cost control is analyzed, the significance of cost controlstudy in design process is point out. The content of preliminary design andconstruction documents design are clarified. Project design and managementincludes two aspects, quality management and design schedule control. Theworkflow of building cost control during design period is divided and the objectiveof building cost control is pointed out. The value engineering and AHP fuzzycomprehensive evaluation method are used to compare all the preliminary designproposals and the significance of value engineering,quota design and life cycle costare discussed. The quota design is applied in the comparison of preliminary design,and the model conditions are investigated and its aim is put forth. Then the relatedfactors in design period and the weight of influence factors are decided. The valueengineering method is used to compute value coefficient and the results show thatthe project will get a higher value when the value coefficient is bigger. Additionally,a project case is applied to verify the reliability of value coefficient and an optimizedscheme of quota design is achieved. According to the insufficient quota design, someimprovements are made and the building cost control became more efficiently.In conclusion, the research of highway building cost control during designperiod in China has not only a theoretical benefit but also application value.
