The automotive industry is Captail-intensive and technology-intensive. Thedevelopment of the automobile industry has great influence on the development ofrelated industries of a country; meanwhile, its level of development is a concretemanifestation of the country’s overall manufacturing strength. With the deepening ofeconomic globalization, developing countries have entered the fray of theautomobile industry. China becomes one of the world top automobile manufacturerand seller after years of rapid development. In2009, China’s auto production andsales for the first time have surpassed the United States and ranked first in the world.However, China still has a long way to be an auto power for many reasons. Afteryears of industrial restructuring, there appear to be a number of prospective carmanufacturing companies in China. China’s auto industry should make full use of itsadvantages with the favorable policies, learning from others the strong points andoffset the weakness, and keep pace with the development of international autoindustry to ensure the auto industry of China remains the leading one in the world.I divided into six chapters elaborate the international competitiveness of China’sautomobile industry. In the first chapter, by domestic experts and scholars on theinternational competitiveness of the status quo of China’s auto industry research andanalysis, pointed out that this study the background and significance of the study.The second chapter through the use of internationally accepted automotive industryinternational competitiveness evaluation index system to quantify the gap of theinternational competitiveness of China’s auto industry in all aspects of theautomotive industry in developed countries. The third chapter by digital comparison of the evaluation index system, to find out the Chinese automotive industry lesscompetitive. The fourth chapter instance to the author’s understanding of angles,combined with the development of the Japanese automotive industry how to improvethe international competitiveness of China’s automobile industry. The fifth chapterexamples of the first car manufacturing company in China-FAW’s historicrevolution and development path. FAW’s development reflects the development ofChinese automobile industry, some common factors, especially in terms ofindependent innovation and new energy development are the key link in China’s autoindustry and make breakthroughs. FAW to grow and develop provides a factualreference to the enhancement of international competitiveness of China’s automobileindustry. The sixth chapter summarizes the future development of the full text andChinese automotive industry to look ahead.Since Financial crisis, the automotive industry pattern of a profound change.Onthe one hand the production and marketing center of gravity to accelerate the transferto the newly industrialized countries, the rapid rise of the autonomy of developingcountries, the automobile industry, more intense competition in the automobileindustry worldwide. The other hand, the background to deal with the challenges ofenergy and climate, new energy vehicles worldwide showing a rapid developmenttrend.Developed countries to the United States, Japan and Germany as therepresentative of the Government’s strong support and promote the auto companiesand research institutions to develop new energy vehicles, the development of newenergy vehicles as an important breakthrough in the revitalization of the automotiveindustry in order to stimulate economic recovery. Electric vehicles, new energyvehicles has become an important commanding heights of the future of theautomobile industry competition.As Development strategy, China’s auto industryalong the traditional routes to catch up with developed countries is still a big gap, butthe rapid rise of new energy vehicles for the Chinese auto industry to shorten the gap,to achieve leapfrog development provides a rare historical opportunity. We shouldsoberly assess the potential advantages and development prospects of China’s automobile industry in the same time, catch up with traditional automotive power toseize the opportunities of the global automotive power technology revolution, withthe revolutionary impact of electric vehicles on the traditional technology andindustrial pattern to achieve substantive breakthrough of independent innovation andbrand.
