In China in recent years Supermarket chains city business is the most swift and get violentdevelopment of retail form.especially with the rapid influx of foreign capital into the supermarkets inChina,this result in the retail trade competition,and also with many enterprises enhanced in the managementof learning.This made the small supermarket chain in the retail market faced with bigger impact.With theMultiple extrusion of foreign supermarket chains,local large supermarket chains and other retailformats,Small supermarket chain is in the struggling of operation due to lack of sufficient competitionstrength.From the result,only a handful of chain business can survive,some even go bankruptcy.So,Thechain operation of our country development,need to study and explore the relevant theory and practiceproblem more and more.This paper use Michael Potter’s" competitive advantage model" and other tools of strategic analysiswith the real example of Kaifeng sanmao supermarket,to analyse the small supermarket chain competitiveenvironment,with the successful experience of basis of Kaifeng Sanmao supermarketthe analysis,putingforward the small supermarket chain competitive advantage advice.
